Blog Post #9: Resilience
- Could you ever see yourself sharing similar messages that your Letter Writer did? Why or why not? How would you share them?
I could see myself sharing similar messages that my Letter Writer shared. Paul shared messages of strength and love. He wanted the readers to understand the importance of faith and trust. I could spread these messages by comforting my friends in a time of need and relating real situations to the lessons. This could be done by reminding friends and family of the big picture and the little steps they have to take to get there. Love is always the answer when it comes to life.

2. What were some new things that you learned from the Marian apparition projects presented in class (be specific)?
The Marian apparition projects really opened my eyes to the type of person Mary was and how big of a
heart she had. She was determined to listen to God and protect Jesus. Through the apparitions,
she spread the message that God wanted. She was a messenger and encouraged others to believe in God;
She did exactly that. After the apparitions, more and more people believed and converted. Without Mary's help,
Christianity most likely wouldn't be as popular and widely believed. This picture of Mary was chosen because
it shows Our Lady of Fatima in action.

- How did you see resilience at work within the Marian apparition that you researched?
Resilience was a main factor through all the Marian apparitions we studied. Resilience was showed through the Lady of Fatima because of the three Shepard children that she appeared to. They came back to the same spot that Mary told them to go to even though they knew they would be judged. This was also the case with spreading the message that they were appointed. The children showed incredible strength and love for God. Resilience was shown through the children when talking about Our Lay of Fatima.
- Do you see yourself as being resilient? Why or why not?
I am both resilient and non- resilient; It depends on the situation. If I feel very strongly about something and it is plausible, then I will put all of my dedication into it. If something is happening, and I know it isn't right, I will always speak up and make sure that no one is put in harms way. Most of the time, I don't usually care what people think of me. I am who I am and I like what I like. No one will be able to change that. This is an aspect of resilience because if you feel strongly about something, you should follow through with it. No one should have a say in it.
